Political engagement
Country visits stand at the core of the Office of the Special Representative and Co-ordinator's mandate to combat human trafficking. Through these visits, the Office establishes a direct and constructive dialogue with participating States on anti-trafficking policy and supports the implementation of OSCE anti-trafficking commitments. Through consultations with government authorities, parliamentarians, law enforcement, judiciary, civil society, and lived-experience experts, the Office identifies areas where responses can be strengthened while highlighting good practices across the OSCE region. After each visit, reports are published that offer targeted recommendations, underline promising practices, outline existing challenges, and provide concrete support for their implementation while raising the profile of anti-trafficking efforts.
